Every inch has a 'who'd a thunk' style.

Clarified John White's great :) quote:
Serge is clearly an artist who happens to make knives.
Lucky us.

Thanks so much guys!

OK, last day of work on this knife completed.

I now pick out the handle material, mammoth ivory.

Holes drilled.

Ivory trimmed.

I begin to contour the ivory.

Ivory is sanded to 600 grit.

Top handle piece ready for assembly.

Back to finishing the blade, etched.

And buffed (blade is dark because of poor lighting).

The "rod" has been trimmed and peined over the copper to hold the knife together. Along with the heavy friction fit of the tang of the blade, it's held very firmly together.

After alot of final polishing, fitting and cleaning up the knife is done!

I hope you guys enjoyed watching this knife being made, as for me I'm VERY happy its finally done. I will be making a stand for this one tomorrow and will post it up here when it's done. The handle screws still need to be heat colored again to a bronze hue. Thanks for looking!

So that's what a Pterodactyl chick looks like as it pecks its way out of the shell!

It's a delight, Serge. Thanks for the treat.

Wow... just frigg'n awesome!!!

So far removed from how most of us do this stuff... it's almost hard to wrap my mind around it all. In a good way!

My friend John White summed it up nicely.

Fantastic thread for a fantastic knife! Thanks for sharing!!! :)

It you haven't already, you should see Serge's file knives. They're out'a sight!
And Serge, so is this one.
