I can't wait to see all of these in person! I only have to wait 5 days, hopefully I can hold out.
I still have a few more photos of other people's work to edit, but here are some of Jerry's that I finished last night. I should apologize for the photo skills on a few. My lens broke and I have been winging it with an older lens that doesn't focus as well as my original. I plan on getting a new camera after the Blade Show, simply because I will be putting so much time into the CKCA cutlery challenge that I won't be able to play with pictures as much between now and then. That and I kind of sped through the editing since the show is less than a week awake. Excuses, excuses.
Anyway! Jerry Fisk, M.S.
And here are a few that I will be bringing. I should have them for display, but it appears that they are spoken for already. I am working on finishing up something to actually have for sale.
So this one was fun! I had a time making it. The US office of Jack Daniel's sent me a 30 year old barrel that had whiskey aging in it for 7 years. They wanted me to make a few knives out of it for managing members. The metal that I used to make the damascus is from the barrel's metal hoops. The handle is walrus ivory. Since this one is taken, I am working on a similar (hopefully better) one. The coolest part...well I will tell you if I finish the next one for this show.
Because we all know how much I love all metal knives.
This one has an 11" laddered W-pattern damascus blade, with 24k gold washed fittings, and blue-ish green mammoth fossil. (<- See I'm learning Don!) I said I would try to make normal knives for this show. Instead of going on tangents and making off the wall stuff, like I tend to. Can you believe not everyone loved my all metal winged D-guard dagger thing, last year? You would think a 6-7" wide piece of metal....annnyway. I was trying to just make a normal fighter/bowie knife. Then I was like, man! Gold would look great with this blue
mammoth fossil.

I bet gold damascus would look even better! Then I went from a normal oval guard...to this guard and then the gold came... I swear I was trying to fit in this time.
I just couldn't help myself. :O
and this was the dagger I took last year:
I can't imagine what threw people off about it.

I will have more pictures soon of other makers work!
