I just picked up the latest Tactical Knives and read a great article on Mike Snody and the knives he makes.
For a guy who has not been making knives for very long, his work looks exceptional. The prices that he charges look to be quite a bargain.
I am thinking of buying a Japanese style knife and am wondering if anyone has had experience with Mike's knives. What do you think of them?

Keith.

Yes, I purchased a Kozuka of Mikes from Les Robertson. You cannot go wrong. Great quality! Everything about the knife is really special. Plus it was quite a bargan.

I currently have another one on order from Mike. This one is going to be one of his Siberian Claw styles, with maroon mircata scales and bead blast finish. I cannot wait!!

Can't wait to get my issue. Just recently I got his Extreme-Ex. Wow! I'd never think I'd have a daily carry fixed blade.

Mike Snody definitely has a touch.

I have one of his knives and have handles several more in the studio. I have yet to see a flaw in any of them. The day will soon come that if you want a knife from him, you are going to have to wait awhile. Get one while you can.

Thanks for your comments. I am now starting to discuss with mike the particulars of the knife I will order.

I purchased a Snody karma kubikiri. The knife was flawless. It was a perfect small Japanese style knife. Mike's work is top notch. I decided that the karma kubikiri was a little bit smaller than what I wanted so I sent it back and purchased the Snody Bushido. It was exactly what I was looking for. Again, super quality! Beautiful knife. I wish that I had about $1,500 to spend on several of Mike's knives. His new damascus knives look great from the pictures I've seen.
I would definitely purchase a Snody knife if I were you. I'm planning on buying a few more this year.
