Artisan Cutlery price Hike?

i got one of the waistlines. the d2 cheaper ones. I wouldnt call it mall ninja or ugly at all. very sleek and elegant. I'd like it a bit wider and beefier but then it wouldn't be what it is.

as for price increases. seems about every brand costs more than it did. not sure about official letters and prices to distr and dealers. just know I have to pay more now than in did for most models and brands. is what it is.......
 
im guessing they raised the prices on the premium models a little to bring in the budget models as mentioned at blade show west?
