ASH-1...Frying Pan-0

I thoroughly enjoy revisiting this thread -- a knife that laughs at everything it interacts with . . . What more could a knife enthusiast want?!

1 part proprietary steel
1 part unrivaled heat treatment
2 parts awesome designs
2 parts unrivaled toughness/performance
3 parts best knife community I've been a part of

I can agree with some of that, but I would enjoy using the OP's knife to test how easy/difficult or almost impossible it is to roll the edge.

One might say, "Use your own INFI."

I will if someone will pay for the fix and shipping.

Dude that rocks!

Anybody want a nice slice of Frying Pan?!!??! :D ----

+1

Reminds me of the old Spyderco "Bon Apetit" magazine advertisement, showing a knife that had apparently just cut through a steak and on through the china plate beneath it.

Two significant differences:

1) This is a frying pan, not a china plate; and

2) The Spyderco was a slick ad designer's fantasy; this is just plain ol' everyday Busse. :D

Thanks for the responses guys. Will be back out to the property tomorrow. Pics of beatings will be posted.

The old saying, "The beatings will continue until morale improves" actually makes perfect sense when it comes to thrashing Busse's. :)

Hot Sun + Hot Smooth Surface Stone : Stone Fried Bacon

This makes me think of the scene from national lampoons Vegas vacation where Eddie cooks that chicken on the rock on his H bomb tested property.

When asked about radiation he says, "hell my teeth have never been whiter and my garden is spitting out 50lb tomatoes"

Off topic but I just had to share

Mmm, stone fried bacon... all the flavor and twice the fillings. :D

That poor pan's score is more like 2/2 now. ;)

I'm impressed, i couldn't imagine doing that with my knives.

Trying to purchase a busse to see what the fuss is all about.
I'm mostly curious about the edge, and how fine it'll get.
