ASH-1 LE Best Mid-size Ever?

I have not handled the LEs yet but absolutely love my CG.

Big +1

The ASH1 fits my hand great and have to say...its probably the biggest Busse I feel I'll need to buy. :D I thought about buying a FBM but why? I'm more then confident the ASH1 can handle major chopping duties etc and a heck of a lot easier to carry.

Hey Mike, do you mind if I piggy back on your order? :D

No problem Gunner. I emailed Dan, but I really need to call. It's easier to get him on the phone. Anyway, what I need to ask him is whether or not he needs my knife. I know Solstice sent his LE to Okuden, so maybe he won't need it. I don't want to send it if I don't have to. If I do he can use my knife for templates if anyone else is interested.

Zombies and such.

For anyone who has the LE and the SE, this is a question for you. Same blade thickness only difference being the mag handles, correct? How does the SE stack up against the LE? Besides DC and satin. I ask this because I bought one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival because while I love the two CG's that I have, I do think the thickness is more than I personally care for. Thanks.

I had an SE and sold it thinking the CG ASH's were gonna be skinny as most production Busses have been skinny CG's compared to their LE counterparts. The ASH's seem to be the opposite of that. Fat CG, Skinny LE.

After getting my LE recently I think I liked the SE version just a tad more. The mag handles on the LE are nice, but the handle/blade configuration of the SE really fit my hands well.

Hind-sight is 20/20:o

Edit: Meant to say I had an SE and sold it.

Thanks Dan that was what I was hoping for. I bought a used SE from Paddling Man, since its already used it always makes the decision to pound on it easier. It will be my user ASH. I just need to fix the liner on a spec ops sheath and I will be in business.

Sweet, it's nice getting a user sometimes. Takes the sting out of those first marks on a new blade. :D

As I edited the above post, I meant to say I originally had a SE ASH-1. I'd like to pick another one up again. I really think the SE shines the way Jerry set them up. Great knife. I think I may look into having the scales swapped on my LE for some standard ones.
