ash 1 question

thanks man but i dont have enough money to get a hell razor
but the ash1 still preforms right ?

Yeah the Ash is still a good knife.
The edge need alittle thinning, or atleast mine did.
The mag handles were alittle fat but they can be sanded down.
Good compact chopper, and you will never be able to break it.

Can't afford a Hell Razor, the comp versions are going for only about $20 more then the ash on the exchange right now.
Deffinatly a better knife for the money.

Breaking the .320" ASH-1 would be like breaking an anvil. It can probably be done, but I doubt you'll ever hear of it happening. :D

Stay sharp,

The .320 ASH1 is probably the hardest to break of all the factory busses. It is short and stout and built like a tank! It should be quite entertaining to watch someone try to break one without cheater bars and/or power tools.

The skinny ASH from the BCS is still my favorite of all the ASH. Light, thin, and still quite strong because of the convex profile. I prefer it even over the beautiful ASH1LE.

Like how Ban and Desmobob described it, the CG ASH1 is really a tank among even some of the strongest/toughest Busses like the FFBM. I didn't believed this until I actually handled one myself, trying to break it without "cheating" would be like taking on a M1 with bare hands.

But the hard factors aside, I personally think that the CG ver is certainly not one of the best looking Busses, but hey you can't have the cake and eat it too right?

I agree with the "pinkie pinch" comment. Every time I chop with the ASH I come away with a sore pinkie. As far as batonning....awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to beat it senseless. No destruction testing for me though, I will stick to the wooden batons.

I have different taste, and find the drop point ASH-1 to be VERY attractive... it kind of looks like the profile of a big Donzi powerboat. I have always preferred drop point blades. I was attracted to the ASH-1 because of its looks.

Here is mine. I treat it like a red-headed stepchild... and it begs for more!

Wish I had the money to pick up another, a Skinny ASH... and a NMFBM... oh well.
