I use my camera with the video mode. Works pretty well.

anyone ever thrown an AD? I've done throwing before and the AD is heavier than my heavy throwers, just not as pointy.

I just know my Mistress will love to be chucked around.

Also do you guys use a proper video camera or have some used a camera with video mode?

Great throwing of the Ash .. very nice vids!. :thumbup: The weight feels great in hand (mine is DC/Black Micarta mags). I'm going to give it some throws down the road a bit, after I warm up with some smaller/less intimidating throwers. :)

Note: Video in first post has been fixed. I re-edited it so it at least is not cutting off short after each throw.

im just as good as tl at throwing busses. ruck, sfno, gw, fbm, etc.









im not nearly as good at getting them to stick. or hitting my target. but i can throw them really far.
 
when paul and i were at tl's house last summer, he asked me how the game warden was at throwing.

i told him, truthfully, that of all my knives, the gw seemed the best balanced for throwing. while camping i had gotten a gw to stick with great regularity, especially since i had never really tried to throw knives. probably about an 80 percent success rate. i was even getting the ruck to stick over half the time.

so tl set up a board, and, attempting to "show off" a bit, i proceded to throw my oj at the board.

that damn thing must have hit butt first about ten times in a row. the only sticking may have been after it bounced off the board and hit the grass tip first.
 
A professional knife thrower I am not! :D Those guys are insane. I think it is the knife that does all the work. ;)

Morimotom: I remember you sticking your GW at least once. I think it was a distance thing. You were probably used to a set distance. When you change the distance you, of course, have to change the throwing.

I bet you'll love it. Just find your range. If/when you miss, and the knife hits the ground, it will often go in tip first. You have to be careful of the rocks and other hard materials in the ground as this MAY roll the tip a bit. But easily fixed. If I am going to play around with throwing a knife I usually put some sort of cusion under the target so that if it falls tip first it just bounces.

But it really threw well for me. (And I am no expert. :o) As good or better than the NO-E. :eek: More front heavy perhaps.
