Got my hands on an ASH 2 and I have to say ir's the perfect Busse
It's a great all around knife without being too big
Why is the ASH 2 so under rated ?

..... is it ??? I think the issues are two fold, they are still relatively new and some are still to really wring them out for themselves, and as a limited release, they are no nearly as common as other similar sized blades.

Andy makes very good points . . . I personally think the ASH-2 is an excellent "light weight" 1 knife solution. It weighs about 20-21 oz and with its 2 inch blade height --- it surely capable of packing a solid chopping punch.

Cheers brother!!! Congrats on an excellent excellent blade acquisition!

I agree Revolverrodger that the ASH-2 is an awesome knife. But I don't think it's underrated. It's just that it was for sale for a short time so there probably aren't as many of them out there compared with a knife that Busse sold for a month or longer. Busse's new 2-weeks strategy gives us more knives but it's harder for a knife to develop a classic reputation over time.

I remember it was quite a big deal before it was released.. much like the B13.. there was rumor it was coming an everyone was excited but it felt like it would never arrive..but it did....great blade

Well..... I don't have one. Thinking I should now. Thanks for being such an enabler.... hate you guys. :p

.

I really wanted one, but I managed to resist by convincing myself that it was too much like the BMe overall, and I probably wouldn't like the straight handles more than the ergo(my favorite).

That didn't work when the BMe2 came out. The BMe2 could end up being my favorite ever.

I'm sure the ASH2 is awesome though.

I recently picked this Ash2 up. It is a nice size.

With a Pirtlemade sheath.

I wasn't quite "wow'ed" by the ASH-2 until I had handled for a few days, and it really grew on me. It's very light in hand, and chops like a champ for its size.
