I want to be sure to thank Garth and Lexi for these two new additions to my Busse collection! I am now up to four (Pork Shank, TGLB, BJ, ASH-1) and I love every single one. It only took me a whopping 60 weeks (~1 year & 2 months) to receive these two beauties, but I tell you what, it was worth every single minute of waiting. They both feel amazing in hand, are WICKED sharp, and nearly flawless. Like I always tell people, Busses are expensive, but you don't have to be a knife expert to pick up one of their blades and know that you are holding something substantial, and something that your grandchildren will be able to pass down to their own grandchildren. I am a Busse lover for life!!!!!:thumbup: Now I just have to keep myself as far away as possible from the Custom Shop website and anything that contains the word Exchange or Ganza:p The only other Busse blade I feel like is currently calling my name is a FFG DSF. If only they were currently available from the Custom Shop:(

Great scores !!!!!!!! Those orange/black handles are becoming a favorite of mine :thumbup::) Really nice choice on those. How does that hand shaped handle feel on the BJ ? I scored one at blade that is not hand shaped, was thinking of adding liners and having them HS.

.32, .22, I'm in for an ASH comeback, something new or something old just Bring On The ASH please !! :D:D:D

Thanks duramax! Well the BJ above indeed is .22" thick with hand shaped pumpkin g10 AND double black liners. I have fairly large hands in size, but not thick meaty hands, and I believe it is the perfect thickness! Believe it or not, I think with the double liners it is much thicker than my ASH-1! But the ASH-1 just feels amazing because of that nice palm swell. If you wear large gloves or bigger, I would go with the hand shaped and double liners. Anything smaller than large and I would still go with at least single liners and hand shaped because the BJ handles always seem to feel a little thin. Hope this helps out:D:thumbup:

Thanks for the info :thumbup: the one I scored is a LE blank so it's a little thinner. So your input really helped, I'll have to eventually send mine in for some liners. It's good to know the liners help bulk up the handle to help fill the hand.
Thanks !!!

Ok, first we had regular ASHes, then fat ASHes, after that skinny ASHes.... And now bulky ASHes?!?

...bah!.... No matter to me.... I like all kinds of ASHes!

Wait.....bulky ASHs.....well, if a fat ASH is .33" thick, I guess a bulky ASH could be..... .50" thick!!!!!:eek::eek::eek: I would call that a morbidly obese ASH-1 LOL:p
