Ash-2

Someday ......... Maybe.........ASH....... Can't wait to be able to...... flASH my ASH:D
No pics please. ;):D

So...I have often wondered. Who owns the most numerous/largest collection of ASH1's?
Andy? Mulder? Papathud?
Feel free to weigh in here. Your secret's safe with us...;-)
Mulder, Manum, Jaxx?? lol
Jaxx more than likely has me beat, but since 2008 I have acquired way too many - maybe next week I will have some time to gather them all together for a group photo.

I have only acquired a mere seven ASH1's in the 18 months of my Bussekin addiction. I have also purchased many other B'kin models, but the ASH1 is my focus. Really like the handling; love the elliptical blade shape: and they come up for sale with good regularity. Try to collect something like CG SFNO's. You hardly ever see them...;-)

I have sellers remorse all the time. Till I look at what I have NOW. BECAUSE I SOLD OTHER STUFF. :D

The BIG ASH I would have kept though..... Just sayin.

Custom BIG FAT Sabre ground ASH1 W/Nuclear Meltdown Fusion, tan micarta handle... Here I come!

P.s. GUTHOOK

I have 5 ASH-1's left in the stable and 3 original SH-1's.
It's a great blade but not the sweet spot for me.
When I go "wee" it's a RMD or variant, when I go "not so wee" it's a SHSH, and when I go "friggin huge" it's a NMFBM

Between the blade shape and that of the handle, the ASH-1 is a solid winner with me. The funny thing is, I like both the standard and magnum grips, although my favorite ASH-1 handle is probably the LE with tigerhide micarta (magnum by default) – the color and texture of the tigerhide gives it a cool looking wood-like appearance.

I prefer the mags. Primarily in G10. I do have two ASH1's in standard grips though.

I have average sized hands, but prefer a large handle. And the longer, and heavier the blade, the more handle I want. Most knife makers make the handles too small for me, girth wise.

SHSH2 nice also. Have three of them. Would be nice to see an ASH(2?) with a 7" blade. Making it somewhat midway between an ASH1 and SHSH2. Yes, I know, it's called a SARsquatch. Have one, like it and great handling knife, but could lose the swedge and hump...;-)

The one time in my life you'll hear me say " you take the skinny one, I want the fat one" lol
