ASH-1 in the pics is a .22

On the next 3 shots, the talon holes are lined up, the handle scales are much further forward on the ASH.

While the ASH Whacker shares the ASH blade shape, it has the more chamfered spine of the BWM

I don't know if the chamfered spine is creating the illusion, I will need to look in more detail, but it seems the ASH Whacker tip is thinner.

I think it's the chamfer making it look like a narrower tip -- either way, I gotta figure out a way to afford a 9.5 when they come out!

Of the two I prefer the 9.5 purely because I like specialized knives, big choppers and small slicers rather than compromised mid-sized all rounders. For me, in general the mid sized knives are too much of a compromise either way. I like them and recognize their applications but I rarely reach for them if I have larger and smaller available.

Yes, they were released at Blade. They are a combination of the ASH-1 blade and the Bushwacker handle. They come in 6.5, 7.5, 8.5 & 9.5 sizes. These are just prototypes though. I have no information about production releases.
