That Sar-4 looks sweet nice job, but that saber ground Ash-1 is no slouch either. Thanks for the pics, :cool::thumbup:

Man I had to double a double take at the SAR4 Mod. NICE, looks kinda old school SHBA almost!!!

Huh, I thought I was the only one with a sabre Ash1:confused:

Very knife:thumbup::cool::thumbup:

Did you modify it yourself?

Very cool SAR. Can you go into a tiny bit of detail on the mod? You rounded the pommel or something? Added fatter rounder slabs?

YEs, I love the Sar 4 Ducci did above. I want one TIM:)

Also, thought Craft had the only Saber ASH1???

COme on SOlstice.....it still alomost the longest day of the year....you have plenty of time to tell us;):D

damn those are sweet. ducci's sar4 looks perfect. the only thing stopping me from getting a sar4 was the handle that seemed too big for the knife. and that saber ash . . . .

That SAR4Ducci4 is friggin' sweet! Love the SHBA-ish handle treatment on that one... :thumbup:

Nice SAR4 mod............;)

.

Yeah.....it's ok.:p

No the mod was done by a knife maker in Arizona. Who swore he would never attempt another. He's a perfectionist and although I can't see anywhere that he missed his lines, he swears up and down that the saber he did wasn't perfect. The man does crazy good work. This is actually my HOG ASH1 that at one time had my HOG name on it, so putting a saber grind and satin finish has made it even more special than it was. I flat out love this knife and it goes with me everytime I hit the Sierras

Tim did the mod and talk about a perfectionist. You'd swear that Garth ground this one out. It's extremely difficult to even find the original lines. Tim followed a SHBA pattern for the handle and only slightly swedge the blade. The knife itself is a little thick for the work I was thinking of when I wanted to get it from Tim (which was the first time I laid eyes on it), but the handle has such screamin cool ergos that I can't see giving it up. Tim hit the mark dead on when he reshaped the handle on this SAR. It also carries extremely well due to it's size. Makes for a excellent State/City Park knife. Slabs are black linen but the same thickness as the originals. They are shaped though, Tim contoured them so they fill the hand nicely. They also cover a little bit more of the spine than the originals. The butt originally had a V-shape to it but I asked Tim to butt grind it. Turned out factory cool. Once I reprofile the edge I think I'll warm up to it's thickness some....wish Jerry would do a anorexic version of this blade.

Thanks Foo. I might be willing to trade ya for one of your Hood Mistresses...but you'll have to ask nicely!:p

Come on! Give us some more shots of the SAR!

As you wish......
