I have three of these. One is a user, one will be a safe queen and the other is for sale. They are canvas micarta with smooth bolts. The knives have been lightened by a nearly full blade length swedge. The swedge design was taken from a short run of original SHBM's destined for the Army 10th mtn Division. There is still enough metal on top of the swedge for batoning. But the swedge did lighten these knives a bit and they feel better than the std ASHBM for me. These were customs done for me at the end of the ASHBM run.
