I dont know about everyone else...but I cannot justify the markup on the ASH SE, I just wont pay it. I think if more people took that attitude then the prices will go down. I know what almost every knife I am looking at buying sold from either the store or the shows for and I have a max at which I will pay. Of course there are exceptions.

I did notice that some people buy a large amount from the store and turn around and sell them at a markup high enought that after selling 3 or 4 they basically have a free knife of there own. And if they dont sell, they just wait as the price will just go up later. I cannot fault them for buying so many, I truly wish I could afford more, but the huge markup leaves me with sour grapes.

I wish I could buy more than 1 or 2 at a time...dont have the funds. The ones I buy I usually keep unless I just dont like em or I can trade them for one I want. I think most people selling or trading fall into this category.

Well I dont know if I went anywhere with this post, but we'll see.

Untrue! There is JUST BARELY enough room ... as long as I don't try a max resolution (RAW) pic... :D

Wait till the weekend comes and I'll try to snag a suitable pic. I need good lighting and enough time to myself to do a good job.

Jaxx was absolutely the very first to get The Set. He's just not The Only One anymore.

Wonder how many folks have quietly built one up -- I needed two after Blade '07, and it took quite a bit of time to find those two.

Well, I only got 1 SH1 SE and stillhave it. It is not going anywhere. But as some may know, I have a weakness and I would trade anyting for it if it rears it's head. In any case, I got rid of the BATAC SE's because I do not care for the design, I have not bought any other BATACS for the same reason. I had a chance the other night to buy LE's but refrained as they would only be for trading or reselling and I am not into that typically.

The only SE's I have remaining are the FBM SE's and I really like those, so they are not going anywhere.

Jaxx, if you will remember, I was one of the few who defended you during that whole 27 thing. I believe that everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their knives. If I feel they are being abussive, then it is my perogative to not deal with them. There are some people on this forum who I will not deal with at all, because of personal reasons, but that is between me and them and there is no need to air it out. you all have that right.

When I see knives being purchased at Blade and being immediately flipped while blade is still going on, that is a money making scheme plain and simple. You cannot couch it in any other way. Do I care? no, unless I did not get one because that schmuck took several only to flip them the next day, then it pisses me off. But it is still a free trade system. I will remember that guy and when the time comes to help a bro out, he may not be on the christmass list.

What comes around goes around and that is what we do here. Tony helped me out with a Game Warden even holding it for an extended period of time. I would have done the same for him. I got an extra AD SE at blade and Tony got none. When he told me that several weeks later I sent him one for my cost. I know he would have done the same for me and has. When I scored the custom SH1 at blade I did so for Ducci. But he changed his mind so I kept it. He's made such offers to me if they came up.

Anyway, I am rambling.

Tony, is definitely a hog in his way of thinking. He is not in it for money making scheme, he's in it for the knives.

Ummm, except for SHBM's, LOL I have none! ...And I'll see what I can do for ya. :thumbup: Seriously, I do appreciate what you did for me after my major blunder.

No blunder at all. You fell in love with a brand of knives and have the means to get as many as you please, no need to apologize to anyone for that. :thumbup:

Besides, anyone that looks like a young Ozzy Osbourne is ok in my book:D
