Ashokan 2011 Photos

These are some fantastic photos! To get to Ashokan is about an 8 hr. drive for me. Where did you guys stay? I may be interested in checking this out next year.

Thanks Deker, email me and I can mail out a cd to you, they are large files.

And Melsdad, most of us stayed in the bunk house there, but some camped in tents, some went to
a nearby hotel, probably about 5 miles away.
Next year, there will or should be new quarters as they are going to flood that entire area and they
are in the process of making a new camp, should be very nice...

Here's another of the smelter file, my daughter says she see's a lizard crawling down the screen, the head is turned at the bottom of the fire...

I guess it's like those Rorschach tests ;) you can tell about a person by what they see sometimes;

A crop of one of the above looks, to me, like it's screaming, I see a hat, dark areas for two eyes, nose and a gaping maw

I am truely sorry that I missed this years event. I am just as greatfull for the great photos that were taken. Planning on next year already!

You better make it ! =P With any luck i'll have some finished blades for next year, and maybe I'll even drive the TR6 out so people can see what all my shop time for the last 12 months has gone into =D That's assuming it's done, which... it better be ! All I have left is body work, paint, and re-assembly of the interior / wiring.

How about you drive your hammer out to my place this fall instead... and it can get finished right along side the car... you'd have unlimited visitation rights ! =)

Thank you for the great pictures!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Peter Johnson a few times at the Solingen show. Very insightful!
