Some more shots from tonight, Kevin gave a lecture on heat treating and demonstrated straightening a blade

IMG_6262.jpg~original

sighting down the blade, pardon the fuzziness, not a lot of light to shoot by so...also note the smoke still coming off the blade

Then Phil Baldwin showed more primitive form of heat treating

Despite my desire to capture great photos of everyone, I fear my head wasn't in the game this weekend, as I got some bad news just before heading to the event. Regardless, here's a few quick shots which weren't horrible:

Enjoying these - seeing lots of friends in those pics... thanks to all for sharing them.

Thanks Gary for the photos.

Enjoy the pen, it is unique. I had a ball making it. Probably 20 hours total time.

Everyone recognizes Kevin standing around in worn out jeans and a wrinkled shirt with his hands in his pockets.
The bobblehead was by me (working with a 3-D printing company in China). I sent them photos of Kevin's head from as many angles as I could find and they worked up the 3-D composite. I tweaked it a bit, and after about three versions, we got this one. The back of his shirt says, "NO TOADIES!" He had more hair on his face and the top of his head when I started this project back in 2013.

Kevin's wife one told him, "You're not famous until they make a Bobblehead of you!"

Thanks again for roving the seminar taking great quality photos.

Man that looks awesome. I might be living on the east coast again this time next year. If so I'm hoping to be able to go...

Very nice Stacy, I made a separate thread seen here at this link

Kool pen sir and I did see the back of his shirt, but I figured the money shot was there on the bobble head ;) and those eyes! as you walk by they seemed to follow you, very erie !!
