Sam, what's the challenge blade this year?

Unfortunately, two hammer-ins is my limit this fall. I truly enjoyed it and learned a lot from the last time I attended.

Could someone videotape the following for me:
3:00 - 4:00 Making a Survival Kit for Your Survival knife – Bill McGrath

If anyone from the midwest is driving to Ashokan, please contact me.

Someone really needs to video Roman Landes's presetations. I will pay for a copy if anyone is up for it....

Remember, kilts and lederhosen are not only allowed, but encouraged! (This was from Roman Landes' last visit to Ashokan)

Nice, thanks Sam, always a great time there ! This year we have a new facilities, should be very interesting! And I was asked to give a lecture on sheaths, it'll mostly be about folders but will have some fixed blades thrown in and also have some softer leather on hand to make a few braided leather fobs too.

Sadly, the great Chef Michael is no longer working there!!! Very sad news :(.

Will be good to see you Gary!

Yah, that's very sad news indeed, hope it was amicable separation, that was a key part of his life, but I know he struggled sometimes with the new way things were being run, things do change and change can be hard!

See ya there sir, and for the folks that show up, I will have my presentation available as a PDF BUT, it'll be photos of the steps I take making my style of sheaths, so you'll want to be there to write down the notes to go along with the images ;) The PDF is sized enough I can email that out to you...

Wrist surgery, sorry to hear that, but sounds like it'll be a good thing once done for you! See you next year then, I'll post up photos of this years event to help keep you amused and entertained during your recovery ;)

About a month away now, getting chilly up here, but, it's getting close to fall too, always a great look to the woods in the fall there.

Don and I will be there again. Bringing cigars, BBQ, snax, and some good wood and ivory.
I spent Sunday afternoon making a neat little something to bring up ...I call it DrackensRücke .... you'll see why soon.
