Ask David a question

More about Cruwear/NSMWear:

If you get some friends together who want something in it, a run of say 20 blades, give or take, and who are willing to put deposits down to cover overhead, then it would be a lot easier and sooner for small potatoes one man shop David Mary custom to make your request a reality.

But the soonest I will be ready to think about taking orders for something like that is probably going to be December, since I have prior obligations I want to fulfill before I set up a new run (since I just set up the run for the Sparkling Smile variants).

For what task?

I've been saying for years the Prevail is my favorite EDC fixed blade. But I hate it for food prep and chopping down trees. Hope that helps.

Single knives (and other tools) that try to do too many jobs , usually aren't too good at any one job . 🤷‍♂️

Yes. But as soon as you remove the word "too", you can get this: Knives that try to do many jobs can excel at most of them with the right design. And that's the Prevail, and why I love it.

Good morning cbach8tw cbach8tw , your Sirupetite sports GripX (formerly known as Grip-Tec). I discovered it through Curtis Nicholls, the owner of Canadian Knife Maker Supply, who told me about it when I was looking to reup my stash of black Suretouch. He said it was a new material and I might like it because it is similar to Suretouch (which was at the time my favorite knife handle material for user knives). He was more than right, and GripX is now my favorite user handle material, edging out Suretouch by a small but significant margin. Suretouch is fantastic, and I would not hesitate to own, carry, and use a knife with it. But put two identical knives in front of me in all aspects but one is Suretouch and the other is GripX, I will take the GripX almost every time.

I'm glad you like your knife! The original owner thought it was pickly too. The material comes in many colors and configurations. I know I have black, orange, and blue, for now.

Thanks, I like the handle because it is very grippy, but not hard or too squishy. 😀. Thanks for the comments.
