Assault Shaker vs Rat Izula

I know this might be blasphemy here on this forum, but I have both and I prefer the Izula. The size and ergonomics are better and, most importantly, it is thinner. Honestly, the Izula compares more with a Skelly Warden. The Wardens handle is just a little longer which is better for me, so it wins in that comparison.

I don't have an AS, but I love my Izula, I think I like the design quite a bit better to be honest. The price is right too, and it comes with a sheath. Rat cutlery has an amazing warranty, just like Busse.

I almost bought a Becker Necker once, the Sanmai version but decided not to.

Do you have one for a comparo?

I think it's a nice necker, and I saw them for a steal on a certain online book store. I'm going to pick up one so I can try Kabar's Cro-Van steel. The ones pictured above are Camillus's 0170-6C.
 
I have a Becker and The Skele Warden. For any use more than a moment the Busse is just more comfortable in my hand. The Becker necker isn't comfortable for me for any extended use. I've wrapped, unwrapped, and wrapped the handle again in a different way. I'm sure YMMV but it's not comfy for me.
The Izula looks like it would be a nice comfy user though.
 
I have a necker and I really like it. Sorry, can't compare it to an AS or a skelly Worden, don't have either on of those. I don't have big hands though, so the necker fits mine pretty well. Could see it being a little uncomfortable if your hands looked like a bunch of bananas :)

That is why I have never purchased one. The Izula is very comfy for sure.:thumbup:

Well... you have obviously never been stuck in the woods with a case of beer and no bottle opener! :p
