Assault Shaker vs Rat Izula

I need to update my pics! :o Heres an old one. I dont have the tan Shaker anymore :( But added a Rat Warden and Izula since. :)

I carry that stripped AS a lot, one of my favorite EDC's second to my Heavy Duty.
 
Speaking of the Becker and Izula - pretty sure I saw a thread over in the RAT forum about a collaboration between the two companies...

They are mixing the Becker blade shape with the Izula handle...

Should be cool!

I love my Izula... Actually just sold my Game Warden bc the Izula was always getting carried...

The izula is the reason I don't own a warden or have any interest in a tiny INFI blade. To be, INFI shines in bigger blades, even 3+ inches. For a knife the same size as the izula, 1095 does just as well as INFI IMO. I can also buy 5 izulas with the same warranty for the price of 1 GW. To me, I just can't justify it.

I would LOVE a becker blade with an izula handle.
 
The .25 AS is an ingot of INFI,
Reminds me of a mini wood splitting wedge.
I bet you could hammer it into a tree and use it as a step:D
 
If you choose a premium malt beverage, you don't really need a bottle opener.

Id go for the Izula as well. A lot cheaper, same warranty and it works real well. Its the only neck knife I own just because it works so perfect. I havent had the desire to aquire and others and that is saying a lot :thumbup:

I used to have both knives - Assault shaker and Izula. I ended up selling the AS. IMHO Izula handles better. It's very comfy even without cord on the handle. I also has decent guard which is a big plus for me. Actually like
230grains I also traded my GW because IZula is a better urban EDC.
An INFIzula - that would be awesome! :D
 
I'm working on a sheath for this Game Warden.....I'm very impressed with Busses now............just seems like much more knife in the hand over the Izula...I don't know if it's $200 more knife.....but it's very nice!!

wow, never realized how similar an izula was to the wardens. Or is it the other way around?
 
You guys see the new micarta slabs for the Izula - just ordered a pair last night...

Looks to make this puppy even MORE usable. I have mine 550 wrapped, but the cord is a real pain when wet as it takes forever to dry - I pocket carry so its always annoying to put it with wet cord back in my pocket - this should take care of that issue nicely :thumbup:

I've never owned an Izula, but an Assault Shaker was my first Busse 10 years ago. I carried it for years in a kydex sheath in my front pocket.
I think it's the perfect size, short enough to be legal just about anywhere, strong enough for whatever you need it to do.
However, I have to admit that the 1/4" thickness on such a small blade can make sharpening difficult. If I had to choose again, I would go for a skinnier version of it!
