Assisted opener reccomendations?

I've gotta vote Twitch. Either 1 or 2, but definitely the Twitch.

Second vote would be the Kershaw Chive. It's a frame lock as opposed to lockback or liner lock, which in my mind, is a notably stronger lock system. Yeah, the blade's not very long, but you didn't specify blade length. You could go Kershaw Scallion for a longer blade, but you'd be trading the frame lock for the liner lock.

Happy shopping, lucky skunk! Everyone loves 'new knife time'.

:D

Earlier I posted the my recommendation, the Spec Bump. An amazing knife.

But if that's a bit too big or pricey, I like the S30V Blur.
Also an outstandingly well made knife. And an excellent size and weight for EDC.

(I've not handled the SG2 Blur, but based on reports it's similarly great, some say it's even better than the S30V version.)

How about a Buck Rush, Tempest or Sirus?
All can be had with the standard blade or 154CM.
Great knives!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they are!
I have a Tempest in 154CM.

Only thing about it compared to the Blur is that the handle on the Buck is a little too slippery, being all smooth metal.

For my taste, anyway. Still, a great knife.

...I'm not a big fan of the liner lock, although I've never heard of Kershaw's liner lock failing.
Me either, and I'm a "lefty". If a liner-lock is going to fail, it would fail with me. So far, none of my Kershaw liner-locks have even come close to failing under use with me.

Frankthetank, start with a reputable dealer. Then go from there. Try www.newgraham.com and there you can check out most any production knife you wish. Annie and Mary Beth are great to deal with, and they'll help you either by phone or email.

As for the AO under $ 100, check out the Cyclone or Mini Cyclone, depending upon your preference for blade length. Either is available in a satin or black blade, PS or straight edge. You won't regret getting a Cyclone.
