I am in search of an assisted opener that is similar in size to a BM Mini-griptilian. I already have a ZT 0350. Let me know, thanks

If you already have the mini-grip and like the axis lock. The BM 585 what you're looking for.

I had an 585 and already have a 580. Was looking for alternatives to the 585 and 580. I Mini Cyclone is not bad at all. The Steel is decent and the design isnt bad. I am glad it doesnt have the Ken Onion recurve...getting a little sick of that blade shape.

hmmmm then it looks like the mini cyclone would be your best bet... you can find the zdp titanium variety every now and then if you want something above the norm.

not many other ao knives in the mini grip size that spring to mind... the sog aegis and twitch are viable options. there are a few "outburst" ao knives offered by crkt and "fire safe" <-- kinda hokie. gerber has a few "fast" ao knives as well as buck but i havnt impressed by their designs.

I'm in the same boat I'm looking at the BM 707
the 585 is a good one
seems all the minis are just 1/2 inch too small

isn't the awesome WARN pretty close? Well, it's the size of a full grip I guess...still probably worth a look since it's basically just a G10 AO grip

as far as the Warn BM goes its only tanto, i have the 580 but wish for the g10 scales... oh well... unless i bought the warn and handle swapped, hmm...

yes, as someone mentioned, the Blur is a competent option in this area. It's probably a closer match than at first appears because the axis lock is much less useful when offered in an AO as compared to the liner lock since neither can now be flicked closed. They also offer a CPM154 orange model of the Blur at a price lower than the WARN.

As per the tanto, yes, it's tanto only. But you didn't list a price requirement, and I will speculate a bit. I don't see any reason, in principle, that you couldn't replace the warn's tanto with a grip's drop point if you buy both, then liquidate the warn-ized grip.

I could be wrong on that, I haven't taken the WARN apart or anything.
