What is an asymmetrical edge on the Busse knives?

What purpose does it serve?

I have a Badger Attack on order, looking very forward to it's arrival.
I have heard so many good things about Busse knives that I ordered one. I believe the Badger Attack will be a good backpacking knife.

Thanks to Andy Prisco for aswering my questions over several phone calls.
But I did forget to ask about the asymmetrical edge.

See on the trail

Check out Andy Prisco's temporary website, the one with the variant pictures. At the bottom of the page is a great photo showing the unique geometry of the assymetrical edge.

It is stronger than a v-ground edge, but easier to sharpen than a full convex bevel for most.

I has been discussed in detail in recent posts. You might want to look them up.

I went back over the old posts, now I believe that I understand the asymmetrical edge and the sharpening of it.

Can't wait to cut with it.
