At a loss on this particular blade on how to finish it.
Name will be: PrimEvil
That should set the tone. Not looking for a Danial Winkler style or a Tactical stye but a mixture of both. just want the finished blade to look SCARY!
It is made from 1/4" 5160 and is 11" OAL blade is 2" wide at the base and 7 1/2" from tip to where grinds will start.
For reference the bali next to it has 5" handles
SO???
Suggestions:
Handle Material
Grind
Finish

It would look scary cool with a pole handle. Yes about a 4' custom carved hardwood pole. Sharpen both edges and give it a mustard patina and use a turks head knot with dyed raw hide for the wrap. Maybe wrap in some red human hair too.

Has a Persian, jambiya look to the blade (nice simple example here ). You don't see many custom made jambiya in the U.S.... I've always liked the style, I could see it updated with blackened blade and rough micarta handle, or traditional....

This shows some handle variants...
Each region seems to have its own style, the design has been around for a very long time. There are many regional variants... The kandjar/kanshar is another, related design that has some very nice curves, actually the first one I linked may be a kandshar, not jambiya (I'm no expert, I just like'em).
