At the hospital (some pics) (BACK HOME NOW).

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours during this trying time.

Well, He is much more chipper today (translate that to much more crabby, and much less sleepy).

His ability to rip out an IV has been proven to all!

He managed to rip the IV out twice while my wife was there.

I got to go home last night and get some sleep for the first time in 36 hours. I took a 45 minute nap, then made dinner for me and Jack (the 5 year old).

Then I went back for another visit till about 9:30 pm.

I got some decent sleep after that (with a few pokes by my 5 year old telling me to stop snoring.........his aunt is sleeping in his room......and for some reason his mother suggested he should sleep with me, instead of in his sleeping bag in on the floor of the baby's room......or either of the huge couches downstairs.......).

Bob's oxygen level is still not where they want it when taken off the O2, so looks like it will be one more night at least!

They could not get another IV started, so they gave up on that. (It took them 3 tries to get the first one in).

I will update later again.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Update.

We brought Bob home from the hospital this morning. Three days was a long time to be stuck there.

Could have been worse.

Now we just have to give him the nebulizer a couple times a day, and his other prescriptions (steroid and antibiotic) and cross our fingers.

That must be a huge relief for all of you. It sounds like he is well on the way to recovery. Please keep us updated and get some decent kip:o
