At what point Fancy User stops being user and becomes full Art Collector?

Depends on the intent and expectations of the maker in addition to the price IMO.

Not many people are going to buy a $5000, $10000, $20000, $30000 blade and go make firesticks and baton with it.

Very true. My ceiling has been 1100 for a fixed and 2200 for a folder. I used both.
