and I'll be danged, it was much more fun eating it with my case stockman cv sheepsfoot. Who would have thunk that a nice knife would make a simple thing much more enjoyable. Now what kind of knife do I need to eat an orange.

I used my Opinel to cut up an apple one day...and discovered the inside was full of bug eggs! Good thing I cut it open!

I usually down an apple each day for breakfast in my office using a Queen Dr. knife in ATS-34 that resides in my desk. (Limited run from the mid to late -90's). I like using the long thin spearpoint (helps keep the juice off the tang and the joint does not get gummed up.)

I got a Case Yellow Soddie in the mail today (my first Case!), and after opening it an marveling at the mirror finish on the CV I shared an Apple with my 4 legged partner in crime. The knife is already taking on a nice patina. After seeing that I wonder how people manage to keep theirs shiny!

I usually eat an apple daily in the late afternoon and peel it with the EDC of the day, currently a Case Tiny Trapper (to meet corporate blade length legality). The only times I ever got the skin off in one piece was when I used to carry a Vic tinker. That flat blade was perfect for peeling apples.
