I have been confirmed for a table at this year's Atlanta Blade Show. This will be my first time having a table and I'm a little excited and nervous about it. Yes, one of my intentions is to sell some knives but more than anything I'm hoping to meet and chat it up with some of you fine folks. I get to read all your posts and get so much help from everyone here but I rarely get a chance to get back to the States much less shake any of your hands. Not only will i have some of my knives but more importantly ill have some knives from the apprentices in my vocational school. They, too, are nervous and excited to send their work for you all to see. Its our goal that they attend next year and try for their JS. So, this is a formal invite to to all of you to stop by my table. Hoping to meet many of you!

Looking forward to seeing you Mike. It is an experience? We will see you there.

You will be like a one eyed dog in a meat house. Knock yourself out!

I'll be there!!!!

Do you have your table number yet, Mike?

Hey James, I think my table number is 10Q. Since I'm not testing this year I should have more time to actually look around and talk to folks.
I should also mention ill have some Nicaraguan coffee at my table as well.

My little guy and I are attending this year. We are both very excited and will definitely stop by your table.
We have been looking at all of the beautiful customs in this sub forum and can not wait to see some in person.

Blessings, Ric

Yes, there is a floor plan but I think it's in the show flier that is on the tables outside in the hallway. See you there.

I will be at 13AA (a corner) so stop ans say Hi.

Erik Google Blade floor plan; it will show last years but I believe the table arrangement is the same. From the doors last year AA was the far Left side

I will be there. Just getting into the world of knives from the firearms world. Always loved knives, but never had anything of quality. Preordered the brous reloader and hope its all i am thinking it will be.

Well then I find out that in my home town is the Bladshow! So yes, I think I can make the 5 minute drive:D

Any tips from former attendees as far as promotions/giveaways/lotteries? Are there only specific vendors that can sell, or does every table have the ability to sell at the show?

Thanks in advance guys!

By going to BLADE you are not going to the world of knives, you are showing up right in the middle of the knife universe! You will understand when you get there. I can't help with the promotions/giveaways/lotteries because the only thing I give away is bandaids.
You can figure that almost every single vendor/maker is there to sell, so that adds up to about 1000 booths and tables. You can easily spend all three days there and cash is king. Plan on having fun!

Well great

Mike, I will be there at table 9R, I will look for the coffee. It will be a lot less stressful not testing this year, although it was a lot of fun.

I agree Steve. I might actually be able to look at some knives and talk to some people rather than have the stress of testing looming over me. It will be good to see you again. Can't wait to see your knives.

Folks, for those attending Blade 2013, don't forget the CKCA Banquet on Thursday night. This year is going to be something special as we will get to see the results from three fine makers who are responding to the Jerry Fisk/CKCA challenge. Also a great mini show and dinner will take place. Not a member yet? Never too late to join the many of the makers and collectors who currently participate in CKCA and will be attending the dinner.

Though I do not have a table I will be there this year. Just could not get enough together to justify a table. I really just want to spend the time visiting and seeing what's going on. Never been able to do that before.

I'm planning to be there. It's my first time. Question is where most of the people are staying. Like Chuck, I'd like to maximize my visiting time in and out of the show:)

I will second Murray's advice about the CKCA banquet. Great opportunity to meet people and great food. I also really look forward to seeing what the makers in the challenge have come up with. Did I mention great food? I look forward to seeing everyone.
