I can attest to the fact it is the best working small forge I have ever personally seen or used. had mine long enough to ht several knives and forge 3, never even hiccupped once. nicest forge in its price range. don't let the size fool you it is a real workhorse. I did a quick demo when mine arrived, unboxed, what little assembly needed, setup and forged a blade from a spike in 25 minutes total. I have two 25 pound bottles and haven't missed what I used out of the first one yet. I highly recommend this forge.only thing I would suggest would be a solid cast firebrick liner.the mortar joints worry me but as I use it more then I probally will trust the joints more. if you are looking for a forge you wont go wrong here. I would not take what I paid for mine for it now. I wouldn't want to wait two days on another to get here, thanks zaph1. love the channel base. keep my tongs there.

Wow, thanks for the review, Kn4wd. Welcome to Bladeforums.

Yes, these are ready to ship. I'm really set up for paypal at my website, http://www.atlasknife.com. Tracking, shipping, buyer and seller protection are all covered that way. Since you have a knifemaker's membership here, I could accept a money order or cashier's check.

zaph1, I told the truth about it. hands down you cant beat it for the performance or the money. if mine should happen to die I would buy another one. check out storm the castle and you can see what I did in a matter of minutes of a cold start. that was a new high carbon spike, not very high in carbon but I superquench them and people seem to like them. Will was so impressed he had to post the pics on his site.i was all set to order from tracy but I found you on here, didn't regret it and still don't.the thanks goes to you for the invention and opportunity to buy one from you. sir, i thank you very much .

while I don't have one of these forges(I had already built my small stove pipe forge before I first saw the Atlas forge) I did purchase one of the 30k burners to use with my forge and it works great. It's well made, a great value, he shipped it the same day I placed the order and was even nice enough to answer a couple of questions I had since I had never used a forge before. I just wish everyone was as easy to work with.

I have one and been using it like crazy since before christmas, it gets up to temp quick and heats evenly. Here are a few knifes I have made using the Atlas Mini Forge.

One Atlas forge inbound Kodiak Island! Looks like a great little forge and everyone seems very happy with it.

Hopefully USPS treats it nicely.
