This is what will be sliding into that beautiful sheath (copy of Hawkeye's) that Jack is making me.

David since you asked if I knew of any more of these, I happen to have three.

Yep Gordon,

I've been kicking my own butt for not buying one from the June BO list. That is only second to the BG-42 119's!

Hey , Flatlander that is a way cool 119 you got there. Can't wait to see the Rudder sheath .I like mine alot.

Since this is a Build Out knife, I assumed they used leftover blanks.
So, what knife was the original project LE? If any?

When I talked to Chuck Buck that day at LL Beane, I brought up how much I really wanted a ATS-34 119 (I kid you not) and he said "that would be easy to do." So I like to think Chuck had all that left over ATS-34 (was possibly going to become 110 blades according to Pete) turned in to 119s just for me. ;););)

Buck had a run of ATS-34 Chuck buck signature series knives a couple years back. They had his signature etched on the blade and laser engraved into the charcoal handle. They are great users! :D

FlatLander have you had a chanse to use one yet? I did manage to get my hands on one of them also! Plus a FB 819 with S30V steel, fo a user! Would hate to use one with the signutures. HL

I have not...yet anyway. But you know its going to be good with that excellent blade geometry and Bos HT ATS-34. The other Buck knives I have used with ATS-34 have been excellent for edge retention which is the thing most of us are looking for without significant add'l difficulty in sharpening. I have confidence that it will be a champ.

Yep, Jim is right on the money. They were made for Goschinski's Fin Feather & Fur Outfitters in Ashland, Ohio. I have #38 of 100; B119-SP15-0. I would imagine they did a few extras to cover warranty work, and some of those extras went to the "build outs". I find the ATS-34 to be a great steel with Bucks heat treat.

Knice nife flat-I reaaaaaally like the charcoal dymondwood:thumbup::thumbup:. You could put it on a hot dog bun and it would be display worthy

I just got word today that the Ironwood ATS-34 119 is a GO!! Man I'm excited about that one. I got the check in the mail to Jack for the sheath too. We are on our way to a very beautiful knife/sheath combo!! I'll post some photos when all that is done.

ok color me slow, but where are they? I find ATS 34 to be the best combo of tough, sharp, ease of care and sharpen and edge quality that I can find

NICE. I'd like to get one of those too!

I still have my very first Buck, which is a 119 from the 70's but it would be nice to get one in ATS-34 or even better BG-42.

I bought several (4) of these 119's from the factory sale sheet that went around last year. There were 31 total being offered. I know of one other forum regular that bought two. The rest got grabbed up by the folks in Post Falls I assume. I have seen two that sold on eBay and I sold one in the forum sale section. So a rather rare knife.

I'm having one rehandled with ironwood to clarify the the post above about that.

Flat I did manage to get one for myself, and when I saw the specials it said there was 32 made. HL
