ATS-34 G10 Police in plain edge?

Any updates on the Police Utility with ATS-34 and G10 with a plain edged blade? I remember hearing about its potential availability a while back, but nothing lately. I would LOVE to see that combination of features for an EDC :D :D
 
I'm bringing this one bttt. Maybe we could at least get a run for us forumites. I believe many would prefer the plain edge.
 
Last I heard, a special version of the 889S with ATS-34 and G10 is in the works. That would make it nearly identical to the plain edge SBTG, just with a blackened blade and without the PDT.

But hey, if Buck wants to make a plain edged SBTG, I'm all for that! :thumbup:

I could do without the black blade. My ideal one would be coyote brown g-10 and plainedge, stonewash finish.
 
I'd prefer a stonewashed blade and blade or coyote G10 myself. I know the PDT texture kind of gets in the way of deep cuts, but I also think it's kind of neat. Variety and all, you know....

BTW, does anyone know about that small batch of PE G10 knives that were on ebay a while back? Was it actually a small factory run or did someone just swap the PE blades out of some Taccom handles?
 
Coyote brown G10 with plain edge... preferably uncoated - yeah count me in!

I have one and the blade is ATS-34, so I dont think it was a swap form a Taccom. Box was marked plain edge or PE something like that. Looks legit to me.
 
This request pops up every couple of months... there appears to have been a short run in the past so Buck must be listening.

However I can see the economics of pushing the Buck Strider Military Folder since it is cheaper to make (zytel scales, coated 420HC blade) and they will sell seveal thousands. Buck obviously has the manufacturing already to make a plain edge ATS34 blade (since it is an option on the original TACCOM version already) so its a matter putting 1 + 1 together.

We can wait and hope - and if we're really lucky, coyote brown G10 handles!
