sorry, this was asked below, but if you want to add anything.. . .
I am going to be making a damascus fixed blade with damascus bolsters and i am wondering what is the best way to attach them?
First, can i pin it using something that will blend in well? (maybe damascus pins?) or is silver soldering the best thing to do?
thanks

Iwould etch the blade and the bolsters then blind pin them and silver solder them on that way the pins wont show

i was thinking about this...andthe above idea is pretty darn good...will have to remember that...something else that would look really trick...from my old wood working days.....screw the bolsters on with blind tapped holes in one bolster and countersunk holes inthe other side and put two trick lookking plugs in the countersunk holes...some different shade of damascus or something....
