Hi sorry that this isn't really knife related however, you guys probably have the answer for this so please bear with me.

I have a piece of aluminum that I want to pin and epoxy a piece of wood to. My question is the type of pin you would use (stainless, nickel silver, brass,) I heard that some times two different metals placed together will increase corrosion in the materials, or does it really matter. thank you for any help

Mike,I would use a pin of the same material that you are pinning thru,ie:aluminum,if I couldnt get aluminum pins I think I would go w/ stainless.Make sure to clean the mating surfaces good with Acetone or Laquer thinner before bonding.Hope this helps, maybe someone else has a better recommendation.
