marion david poff, les, allen, lynn, mike, dick, joe, rick, bill and all others!

i am so sorry for offending all you guys and being so mean and ornery and according to les and marion, stupid. there
smile.gif
now i sound like everybody else.

you all take things way to seriously. sorry for my very dry sense of humor or whatever you want to call it. but you have to admit, people sure respond more and honestly to these heated topics than to most others

and to the honesty of the posts instead of kissing and patting each other on the back all the time.

marion and les,
you seem to think i am insecure and trying to hide my shortcomings by attacking others. well sorry, i just do my work and seem to have no trouble selling all i make. i dont care wheteher i impress you or les or anybody else. just myself. btw les, sliver sales are fantastic. unbelievable huh! you cut down my designs, method of construction and me personally and you dont even know me or ever met or talked to me! how does that work anyway? then you all wonder why i am defensive here in forums? duh!

i dont care what other makers do or use to make their knives or how they do it, by hand, cnc, lasers or superglue! to each his own. i am simply getting tired of all the chest pounding and strutting in here, then as soon as anyone says anything negative to them...jesus look out! you are an inhuman a**hole.

to anyone that dont like my posts, simply skip over them

I'm starting to like Jedi Knife's idea for an apology forum.

I hope that when folks disagree on these forums, they do so as friends. I haven't liked a lot of the things said by some folks on the forums, but you can bet that won't stop me from stopping by their tables at the Blade show! (If I get to go!)

BTW, Tim, I spent a good chunk of last night pouring over KPOI V. I don't know about the knife mags, as I don't read them, but your work pretty much dominated the folder section of the book! Absolutely stunning, and I'll bet you didn't even have to give the publisher any advertising dollars!

Actually, Ryan the makers pay a lot of money for each of those pictures. If you know Mr. Weyer he takes no photos for free, nor should he.

Those "illustrations" as Jim calls them are between $300 and $500 apiece. Yes Ryan, Tim had to pay for each of those to be in there.
Yes, he did pay for his advertising.

Les

I stand corrected!

I thought Mr. Weyer just made money from selling the books.

Thanks for the clarification,

the books are made up of pics that Jim considers the best of the best...he puts them together and has them published...but they are all photos that he was paid to shoot in the beginning by the owners and/or collectors, at the price Les quoted......!!!

Les,

You are right that I do pay Jim for his astounding photography but not for advertising, nor just to get in his books. Jim, in my opinion is simply the best out there for knife photography. If he happens to choose some of my pieces to include in his books, then I am quite honored.
