Dear Members,

Here is what we have to deal with. Thought you might like to see this one.

P.S. We've since discovered that this is a fake email address so we hope "Mr. Glaser" will see this in the forums.

pretty bizarre... who has the time and energy to fake this nonsense?

Some people just aren't happy unless they are complaining about something.

And to supply a bogus email sounds like they don't really want a resolution.

Great response Mr. Emerson! What a jerk for writing a email like that. Some people only know how to groan and moan vs just trying to resolve the issue in a calm manner or have a better understanding of the product. If this or any other person was unhappy with their purchase, they should just return it and move on.

Odd for sure..
The good thing is for every one of those there are thousands of happy customers.
A guy who's thing is KBS flippers, and is expecting the same from his Emerson will not be happy with a buttery opening knife, even thought the wave will open it 10x faster if employed than any other knife.

Chalk it up to spice of life.. at least we all get some entertainment out of it. I shook my head and had to laugh.

You can't please all of the people all of the time. :D

I keep the pivot on my Commander tight. With a blade that sharp, I want control. If I need to loosen it, it only takes a moment. Either he bought a damaged return or he doesn't know as much about knives as he thinks.

Goodgawd!!!
My HD7 should be on it's way home this week. I CANNOT wait.

It blows my mind how people can do this kind of stuff. Just trolling for the hell of it, trying to start trouble.

While I have experienced many f&f problems with Emerson knives myself, I still think this guy was just trying to troll the hell out of Mr. Emerson.

"Pivot too tight"? That little sentence right there is enough to indicate that the person who sent this email was just trying to poke some fun at Emerson.

Some people simply need to EDC a small stick I guess. Knives sure aren't for everyone, that much is true.

"Pivot too tight?" He doesn't even need a screwdiver. I have an "Emerson Pivot Tool" that costs 10 cents. It's called a "Dime", and works every time! (and...I'll sell the "Pivot Tools"to anyone who wants one, for 50 cents each, plus 50 cents for shipping!) ;-)

What discoloration? The Emersons come with color now?:D

Just got my Regiment.....LOVE IT!!!

What an idiot! But I have to wonder if s/he bought the knife from one of the dealers that charges a 10-20% restocking fee... I can understand not wanting to pay $25-50 (plus shipping) to return it.

American made high quality knives using skilled labor and employees paid a living wage, plus a great warranty costs money. You can't make everybody happy, I think Emerson knives are not his thing.
