Alright so all i had on hand is some 1/4 x 1 CFV but I've really been wanting to make some chef knives. So this is what I got. Still gotta clean em up a bit and forge the tangs. Thoughts, advice and positive criticism always welcome.

This top one is about 1.75in wide and 8in long and pretty thin.

Yeah wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done. Especially with a Chinese anvil that I didn't secure properly
Thinking 1.25wide will be easier though

A little trick is to upset the stock as much as you can. This is where a post vise helps. Or just stack it up and forge weld it togather. If doing this I would do 3 layers. That keeps the weld area out of the edge area.

If I knew my little 2 brick forge could handle it I probably would. Think I'm just gonna get some inch and a quarter w2 from aldo
