This is for all really but wanted to know what all the Knifemakers and Designers edc. Knives or other tools welcomed.

Victorinox Soldier or Farmer, Vic Classic on my keyring, Keychain Companion, and sometimes custom shop Buck 110. Everytime I make one for myself I end up selling it. :o Maybe someday...

Hi all ok as of today since I just finished this up a few hours ago.
instead of carrying my normal 5" long 1/8" thick bladed Pathfinder
I am now carrying a 6" long 5/32" thick for the blade ( Pathfinder )
and lovin it. I also carry a small swiss army knife classic in my pocket
great for the tweezers. Grinding and making knives I have never gotten
so many slivers even though my other business is cutting trees.
I also carry a swiss army ranger in the black pouch of my psk that rides
next to my fixed blade now 6" pathfinder in its sheath. I just started
to carry this new sheath and knife and in the back of the sheath
there is a pouch for a little fixed blade knife called the carson 4 by crkt.
plus I carry my leatherman wave in a leather pouch tha I made that also
carrys my mini mag flashlight

Cool Thread bearthedog:thumbup:

I'm very interested to see where this one goes;)

I carry a buncha different knives. Most often I have an Ontario RAT folder but on the weekends I carry my Todd Begg Glimpse :) In the woods I have been carrying a Koster Bushcraft or one of my own Bushcraft blades the last couple of hikes. For camp it could be one of my own big choppers,a Busse, or any other large chopper I might own :)

With me I really don't even know from one day to the next what I'll be carrying that day until I get up and grab one to play with and change out my carry knife.

Lots to chose from in my safe like any knife nut I'm sure.

Got any pictures? I always like seeing your big choppers.

thanks for including me in your list...i have to tell you it feels nice :o

well, its almost embarrasing, but a constant in the woods is my trusty mora #1 with the plain birch handle (looking pretty dark nowadays) and the laminated blade. looking at it i see it needs a sharpening after some hardwork on my last jaunt.

i also have myEDC folder, a reground buck stockman has been a constant for the last month or so, when my opinel got all stiff from moisture in my pocket.

and when i'm feeling piratey, i like to carry around my 11" cutlass (a big antique butcher knife that is great for light chopping and splitting kindling)...hard to see in this photo, but i thought you guys might enjoy this picture from when i got dressed up to go raping churches and burning woomen.

but i have this one eagerly awaiting a trip to paul bos, the one in my hand i intend to keep for myself. 6" long, 1" wide, 1/8" thick, a light all purpose midsize bushcrafty blade with a scandi grind.

apologies for the poor photos, its dark now...i might get some better photos tomorrow in the light.

Those Blades on the table look good. Let us see them when they are ready. I bet you don't keep the middle two very long.

Can you guys wait til morning for photos? I'll give you hints.

Necker, one of my regular pattern, a forged cord wrapped trade knife style I made a while back, in a koyote girl sheath with pen holder (and my trusty steel ballpoint pen) and a Vic Outrider.

I most often also have an LM crunch on me, a few screwdrivers and a pair of pliers in pockets or my kilt, and for "dressup" I carry one of my L6 blades, but I have no idea what to call it. I'll post photos.

Oh, and for REAL dressup I have a family heirloom puukko with a ravenshead pommel

Well I edc a Spyderco Waved delica and a Sak Soilder, for a belt knife I have a Bowie that I made, It has become my latest user

forged 1075 hamon, cocobolo handle

I have a few I rotate through....

Customs:

Graham Brothers Ringed Razel S3
Krein Knives Bulldog or TK-11
My own bushcraft (on me today)
Matsuoka Tsunami (formal wear)

Productions:

Benchmade Skirmish - reground
Zero Tolerance 302 - reground/refinished
Vic Farmer (when going ultralight)
Leatherman Charge Ti (when in need of tools)

I've gone through a few others...big flippers...automatics...balisongs...smaller/thinner/lighter slippies....fiixed blades....and so on...

The above is what I have settled on for the current time...

I'm open to other things....but my needs are very specific.

Hands down, the biggest use my EDC sees every day is cutting cardboard/paper/similar/etc. Followed by scraping/scribing/carving....then misc cutting.

If I decide to go out in the woods...my carry totally changes....no longer EDC stuff.

But the lists above definitely gets rotated in on a consistent basis and do, for the most part, fill my specific EDC needs.

Also....EDC to me means "on my person"...not just nearby in a bag. If we count that...I need to expand my lists...:D :foot:

I'm hoping to add a Carey Rubicon XL to my rotation soon!!

Here is what I EDC. an original leather man, a mini mag, a pair of EMT scissors, a Jennings 22 cal semi, a fire pager, cell phone, a Zippo lighter, a BIC lighter, a small single AA led flash light, most days i also carry my Yaesu VX-7r hand held ham radio. with WIDE RX and 4 band TX. For pocket knives I end up carrying a few, it might be my CUDA EDC Darrel Ralph design, a Camillus Heat, or even a Gerber crusader, as for my own knife I carry it is a jazzed up version of my original Wilderness design, it has been differentially heat treated with hamon, hand filed spine and handle, full tang and full taper grind, the handle is done in Texas Tea Fantasy Marble with Mosaic pins. it is a three finger design and once you get used to it it is awesome to use. it is made out of 1/8" 1095 high carbon, and stays shaving sharp. Blade is 3 1/4" and overall it is 7"
