So far 2 members here have come forward and report they have been contacted by a James Thompson offering to sell them knives. It appears that he is using other people's knife photos and passing them off as his own.

The email address shown he is using for paypal is: shan_dfrontier@yahoo.com
The contact email is shown as: jamesthompson241@ymail.com

Do not buy anything from this person, as he is also passing himself off as a member "Mossyhorn". I've dealt with the real mossyhorn and the names, shipping addresses, email, and payment information do not match. Mossyhorn is a legitimate member, this other person is referencing his feedback as his own.

If you purchase from James, you do so at your own risk. If anyone he has information or has been contacted, please let the moderation staff know.

Could you email me, I have a lot of information on him. Including his address, how he asks for money and his method, his western union thing he gave me to give me to send him money. He is on knifeforums and is still using jamesthompson241@ymail.com

I asked him if he had any other photos on the knife and he said he didn't have any. He used photobucket or some one like that, a free picture hosting site.

Thank you for posting this thread, this informed me that he is in fact a scammer. This saved me from wasting a lot of money!
 
Yea.

I also wanted to Add when I replied to him asking were the item would be shipped from he said LA. The following day he sent me a message a 7:04 EST. Which if you live around the world would be late evening, if you live in LA would be 4am. That and he offered to sell me a "new" bm42 and bm40t for 520 shipped.
