Attention HOGS, which auto knife would you carry for a tactical blade?

i had a mt ut-6 otf, great knife, but when i became good with the wave, i had no use for autos. sold both my mt autos, i only have a bm pardue first production run that has sentimental value as it was the first 'expensive' knife i purchased about 8 years ago.
 
I have a couple of the ZT 300 knives and for a "assisted knife" they are real stout and as fast as a auto in my opinion, plus they are legal everywhere!
 
the Benchmade model 5000 axis automatic has been my EDC for over 2 years now:cool: excellent knife :thumbup:
 
I'd like to be around $300ish or less for price depending on knife. What do you guys think about the MT SOCOM ELITE? The SEVERTECH is looking real appealing as well. Where would be the best source to pick one up other than the exchange if any come up there.
 
Microtech Amphibian? I had one but sold it since I couldn't legally carry it (at the time.)

That's the only problem with the Severtec, you can pretty much only get them on the secondary market. The guy who makes them makes more money off of making industrial tools so he's pretty much tied up with that first.
 
carried benchmades for a long time and really like the quality. i ordered a microtech because i always thought they were the shiznit, but was dissapointed by the fit/finish and poor lock up, as well as the proprietary fasteners. i have a TR-3 that is my main edc and i really like it. i wouldn't say it's better than a benchmade, but it fits me better and does everything i ask it to. great customer service as well. you can find real good prices on many autos at http://www.bladehq.com, and they have excellent customer service as well.

Until recently I carried a Microtech Makora DE everywhere I went. Recently I've talked them into letting me carry a Game Warden :D ..... but I also carry a Microtech UTX 70
 
I really like the Severtech for bare bones simple, get the job done construction, not taking away from MT or BM. I like em all!
