  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I've been "citified" to an extent, but the funny thing is I'll lapse into those speech patterns when I'm around certain people or even doing certain activities.

The other day, I was kayak fishing with a buddy, and a few things popped out of my mouth that got me some strange looks from him.

I think he thought I was about to break out a banjo and a shotgun and go all Deliverance on his ass. :D

LOL - I resemble that :D

I grew up in a town of 200 in Alabama.

Wal-Mart? Try one general store.

McDonald's? Try "The Hub" next to the general store.

Walgreens? Try the pharmacy next to the general store.

That was pretty much it.

We all spoke backwoods. Still do.

Is your hometown Wedowee Alabama? If so the population has risen to a little over 800. :p

Yeah, the little town I grew up in had a tiny little general store, my Church, and a tiny sign that said, "Unincorporated".

No stop signs or traffic lights:)

So, I guess beauties like these are going to go way up in value!:):D
