The Kids and I headed up to the Grandaddy Lakes in Uinta Nat'l Forrest this summer. It was their responsibility to set up camp, Make the Fire, cook the food, and purify water. I just sat around and took photos. My 11 yr. old daughter became better at starting fire with a Firesteel and Natural sources than me!

Congrats on 28k - just a couple of pics taken earlier this year in the Catskills.

This is a picture of "canoe sailing" on the borderwaters of Canada and the US. The wind was especially bad this day and we decided to save a bit of time and energy by making a sail out of a Eureka tent. A buddy held the other half in a canoe next to ours and the guys in the back were our rudders. It ended up working better then we expected and we cleared the entire 4 mile lake in about an hour after we got the hang of it. This is probably my fondest memory of the outdoors. This is definitely my favorite outdoor picture from this year. I got to spend it with my wife and my daughter. This was my daughters first hike and she absolutely loved it. We hiked roughtly 6 miles round trip. This was the trip that really got my wife interested in the outdoors. The top pic is the one im entering in the contest, but here are a few more of my favorites from that day.

I'll post a few from a fun outing with my 5 year old this summer.

I'll do multiple photo's in one post so as to not mess up the odds in the random number pic.

Here is a few of a trip we were invited on to northern WI. Had a blast with the little guy and a few weeks later had 2 more kids as mama was pregnant with twins.

We woke up one morning to a loud noise and a hawk had crashed and died into the picture window of the cabin we were stayin in. of course the three year old had to go poke it with a stick.

I'm a crazy SOB when it comes to my kayaking, and 19 degree weather, freezing rivers, and light snow aren't going to stop me from getting on the water here in WI.
