Auction blades sheath update

Ok have a few more pics, this one is almost done. Glued it up and then stitched all up. You will see at the top of the beaver tail there is smaller stitching, this is done to eliminate any delamination between the two leathers. It is done with a thinner thread.

First pic is the glue up and clamps to hold until dry.

Next is all stitched up and just finished wet molding it.

Once dry I will sand and dye the edges, set the retention snap and final finish. Almost there!!!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention before that I can multi task very well, so while I was taking pic of this sheath build, I also was working on the mini spear. Well got ahead on it and she is done.

Used a texture stamp that kind of resembles ray skin kinda cool looking

The stitching looks jacked in spots, thats just excess wax, a few min with a hairdryer and they were cleaned up.
Hope you like the mini spear.

I like em both very much. If I ever get a hold of another Spear Vala I want one like that too.

Both of those turned out super nice.

Your work soon to follow. MUCH larger items to deal with. I'll be impressed with your work, as all will as well when done.

Those do look good. But then since the IBBB sheath is a direct relative of my favorite EDC I am kind of biased :D I proposed back when I got my IBBB that Beavers should will their tails to Pugs when they die just so they can be a part of such wonderful work. If I wasn't already so overjoyed with my IBBB and it's Pugs pants I might be jealous of this one. But the Bawanna checkering on mine is just too gorgeous to play second fiddle even to his own newfound wizardry with guards. Still both of these are special work by 3 very skilled folks. (gotta include the Kami who made the blade.)

Never forget the Kami who made the blade. If it weren't for Kamis and Auntie think of all the friends we've never met we wouldn't have..........

Ok last post, all finished up and both will be mailed out today.
Here is the bowie all finished.

Back shot

Side

And lastly the front

Hope you all like the pics.

Well, I a received the package today, all I can say is WOW, what a corroboration for all involved. Bhakta, Bawanna, Pugs, Auntie for her purpose and even the Tailless Beaver. I have lots of special/custom orders dating near 50 years, this one is close to the top, I'm extatic. Thanks to all involved, especially the rudderless beaver, probably still swimiming in circles! That said, a great friend of mine but has since met our maker, trapped an 80 pound beaver here in Illinois. I thought it must have been the largest beaver I'd ever seen. Today, I found an article on someone harvesting one that was 101 pounds. If not elusive, they could break your femur with one slap. Lots of cool sheaths though.

Actually BB, check the mark, I don't think that one was Bhakta. It was a new kami. Maybe Ram Lal but I'm not remembering for sure. I know I was anxious to get it because it was the first one of his I'd seen and it came with the 15"er that I also needed/wanted.......

You're correct! Anil'S flag not Bhakta's bow and arrow. Not sure what I was thinking. Thanks for the appropriate correction.Ram Lal is a leaf off the Peeples tree aka: the sacred fig. My apologies. None the less it is most beautiful due to your contributions as well as the others and for the greatest of causes. .
Sincerely,
Jay

Anil struck me about 2:15 this am. I had Ram Lal stuck in my head from his recent knives.
I thought Anil did a terrific job and it's no doubt a bit more of a rare bird since he hasn't built many. In fact maybe only the one.
No matter he done gud.

How did the handle size strike you?

I am genuinely impressed by this collaboration of craftsmen! My leather work looks like it was put together by a two-patch pirate with a hook hand!

Im glad it got there safe and sound, Im especially happy you like it! Enjoy my friend.

T.C. lol you can only get better, keep chugging man.
