Not in my experience.

The 14C I've used has held a usable edge for quite a while and would come back to hair popping sharp with just a few swipes on a crock stick or a strop.

The only AUS I've seen preform close to that was 8 and it was Benchmades.

That's correct, but 14C28N does have N in its composition. Which does in a way compensate for Carbon 14C28N vs. AUS8
