Australia Post Gave My Waki Away

You may also want to include printed copies of the post office procedures that are supposed to have been followed in you instance.

Well, there is a little bit of good news but it has nothing to do with the lost Waki. I believe that one is gone and I doubt that insurance will pay, but we'll keep you updated.

I shipped out a replacement last Friday, via Express mail, I seriously had my concerns about this one arriving. However, I shipped it and waited, checked the tracking a couple of times and everyday the update was that it had been received at my local PO. I knew that with Christmas shipping going on that it was going to take a while and that most likely it wouldn't arrive in time for Glenn to give it to his son in the RAF who was currently home for Christmas. I was just hoping and praying that it would arrive. Well Glenn emailed me last night and said it arrived on their Christmas eve, and he had picked it up already. Yeah for the USPS ;) Glenn be sure and thank your son for serving.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Fantastic Eric.......Santa's got a lot to do to beat that:thumbup::)

Wow Glenn I hope sumone has the nerve to return it and appologize repeatedly. I wanna get a waki more then anything, but cmon. I guess this is the new day and age honesty. Good luck man hope it works out for ya.

The most recent happening is that I was contacted by Australia Post. They admitted responsibility for the loss. They have contacted the USPS and have informed me about a week ago to let Eric know not to wait for the mandatory 30 day wait to lodge an insurance claim. Now we have to wait to see how the insurance works out.

Damn, that's a major bummer. Hope it all works out.

Kudos to Eric and SR for taking care of a customer!

UPDATE:
As of last Saturday 8/7/2010 I received payment on the insurance claim I filed for this. Yippee!
It took somewhere around 8 months to get a payment on the insurance claim but not all of it was USPS's fault. I'm not exactly fast at filling out the paperwork needed, nor was I quick about filing my appeal (my first claim was denied). However, the good news is that the claim was paid and all is right with the world again ;)

:D:D

Right on!

Took a bit of time, but it seems to have worked out...:thumbup:

Fantastic news Eric. Once again your service is 10 out of 10:thumbup:
It is really great for us "Internationals" to know that you have got our backs........
The OP must be delighted........
