These are all Australian woods that I imported from Western Australia last August. At the time I purchased the wood it had been milled for less than 1 year so I suggested people wait until this summer before using. I recently cut a bunch of these into scales and checked the moisture content. 12-14%, about the same as my desk. Looks like these are just about ready to use. Give them a while to adjust to your climate first. It is cold and snow here. I sanded these and sprayed them with a light coat of lacquer to give a little protection from drastic climate changes. This is natural, hard wood. It has not been stabilized.
This is a group photo of the scales in this thread.
Following will be individual photos of each set of scales. Some of the scales will have fine, hairline checks around the burl eyes, mainly the red ones. That seems to be common with this type of burl. You will probably want to do some minor fills with CA glue.
When you decide which scales you want just post I'll take #s.... and I will mark them sold for you. US Shipping is Free. International Shipping is $10 for 1 set or as many as you select. My address to pay using Paypal is itsaburl@hotmail.com
