Austrian knife shops

Hi, I'm gonna be in Austria and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good knife store or knife maker from there.

The thread is from 2004, so I don't know if the shops mentioned there are still open.

Last time when I was in Vienna I found 2 shops on Mariahilfersrasse .

I would also recommend the shops of Springer http://www.gebrauchtwaffen.at/ I believe there are 5 shops, all run by the same family for centuries. I've purchased some very nice things from them over the past 20 years.

Another place to try would be the Doretheum http://www.dorotheum.com/ this is the oldest pawn shop in esistance, and they have a whole section for weapons. You'll find stuff there you'll never see outside of a museum.

If you're into cutting weapons the State Museum has one of the worlds finest Arms and Armor collections, period. Also the Armory (war museum) has one of the worlds greatest tank collections on display.
