I'm planning to buy a Strider AR sometime after July 26th (my next pay day). Are there any Authorized Strider dealers that might have ARs by that date? I've already exchanged email with Joe Estrada. Because of that, he's my first choice, if he can get me one around that date.

I'm on vacation the week after the 26th, so I'm just trying to plan ahead. My wife & I will have our 4 year anniversary August 1. The AR will be my little anniversary present to myself...

BTW, I prefer the flat ground, Tiger Stripe S30V blade. I also plan to send it to Strider to have double thumblugs installed soon after I get it...

ham, I called Oso Grande Friday morning. They seem like a very good source. I definitely plan to call them back on the 26th.

I was on a waiting list for TAD for awhile, and they just notified me they got in my AR. I should have it sometime next week. I would recommend that you snatch one up while you can, I had to wait five or six months for mine.;)

Erik, unfortunately, I have two things preventing me from doing exactly that. One, I won't have the green till the 26th. Two, I want an AR with a S30V blade that's STAMPTED S30V. I doubt I'd ever sell it, but if I did, I want the blade to reflect what it really is. I know I'd think twice about buying a used S30V AR that's stamped BG-42.

Besides, this might sound odd, but this really is my 4 year anniversary present to myself. I plan to use the hell out of it, but I want it to be as good as it can be...

I just received an e-mail from Evan which has assigned me an order number; further, it states that the order will ship within 24 hours of verifying my credit card info.

This tells me that I have an order in their system for an AR, but it doesn't tell me that they have one to ship to me, (at least, it didn't say so directly.)

Like I've said, TAD is a first rate outfit, and I'm sure they're working hard for good customer service. However, my heart skipped about three beats when I opened my e-mail and saw Evan's name!

Oh well, I'll just sit at the end of the driveway and wait for the little brown truck.

Icabod, I got that same email wording from TAD on Monday, July 15, 2002. I received my AR today. Moral of the story: Watch your mail box dude.

Oh yeah, pictures don't do this knife (the AR) justice. You gotta have it in hand to realize its Wow-factor.

Sorry, I have to go now (and play with the AR). :D
