I still have:
1) a bone-handled automatic Mikov with file-worked back-spring, and stronger spring and lever installed. The knife has been carried two times in its sheath (included), otherwise just sat at home gathering dust. Never sharpened but it opened a letter once. Otherwise it is a beauty, I got it from David/Tanto between 18 and 24 months ago.

2) a blond horn, 11 inches, automatic stiletto/dagger blade. This knife has beautiful scales, is fairly straight from pommel to blade tip; the blade sits nicely in the handle when closed and has nice lock-up when opened. There is a downside to this knife--it is a lethargic and/or inconsistent opener. When held with the knife pointed down, it opens and locks up fine. When held with the knife flat, it opens and locks up fine. When held with the knife pointed up, it rarely reaches lockup. I have read of two potential fixes: 1] stick something under the lever to give it more power; 2] use a screwdriver as a lever at the pivot to loosen the friction between liners and blade. I have tried neither of these fixes, as I'm too chicken! I obtained this knife from Stu about 9 months ago, as part of a larger purchase. I wasn't too interested in the knife then so didn't take much notice of the opening/lockup issues and now too much time has passed, in my book, to annoy him with it. My oversight could be your gain.

My wish list includes:
1) ProTech TR2, plain satin or polished blade preferred;
2) Microtech Terzoula;
3) Woodard Fer-de-Lance;
4) Microtech Makora;
5) any Microtech LCC

I'm also willing to add a throwdown (new goldtone Boker Magnum-BO007, or used but not abuse Kershaw Scallion) or $$ if needed...

Thanks for looking.
Rats...

Once upon a time there was a knife that was not truly appreciate by its owner. It was a very sad knife :(, as it did not get to go "click" like all the other knives. It had a friend that was in the same sad boat with it :( :(. Fortunately, one day a kind knife-lover (not in a funny kind of way either [ewww]) chose the unappreciated knife and its friend. They all lived happily ever after at the intersection of Natural-scale Street and Automatic Avenue. :)
This could be a true story if only you would do your part... :rolleyes:
