automatic knives

How difficult is it to make a automatic knife. Are their any books on how to make them. Any help is appreciated.

The main reason that I'm asking is because I've just finished my version of a pull-string auto. I've also made a couple of knives similar to the german paratrooper gravity knife. The idea that I am kicking around at the moment is just a OTF auto, but having difficulty making the mechanism work right.
